How to Submit Your BOM for Component Sourcing
Shenzhen Yifang Electronics provides electronic component sourcing for prototype and volume PCBA projects.
Upload your BOM through our component sourcing page, and our team will review the required parts, quantities, availability and lead times before preparing a quotation.
Step 1: Prepare Your BOM
For faster and more accurate quotation, we recommend providing the BOM in Excel or CSV format.
The BOM should include:
-
Reference designator
-
Manufacturer
-
Manufacturer part number
-
Component description
-
Value and package
-
Quantity per board
-
Required PCBA quantity
-
Whether alternative parts are acceptable
The manufacturer part number is especially important. A general description such as “10k resistor” may not be enough to identify the exact component.
PDF files are also accepted, but Excel or CSV files are easier to check and update.
Step 2: Enter Your Contact Information
Complete the contact form on the component sourcing page.
Please enter:
-
Your name
-
Email address
-
Telephone number
-
Company name
Make sure the email address is correct, as we will use it to send technical questions and the quotation.
Step 3: Upload Your BOM
Click the upload area or drag your BOM file into it.
The page currently accepts:
-
Excel files
-
CSV files
-
PDF files
-
One file per submission
-
Maximum file size of 20MB
If you have several BOM files, you can combine them into one Excel workbook or contact us separately.
Step 4: Add Your Requirements
Use the notes section to provide any additional information that may affect the quotation.
We recommend including:
-
Prototype or production quantity
-
Expected delivery date
-
Whether alternatives are acceptable
-
Required component manufacturers
-
Special purchasing source requirements
-
PCB and SMT assembly requirements
-
Programming or testing requirements
For example:
Please quote components for 100 PCBA units. Do not use alternative parts without our approval. Please also quote PCB manufacturing, SMT assembly and functional testing separately.
Step 5: Submit the Files
After checking your contact information and uploaded BOM, click the “Submit Files” button.
Our team will then review:
-
Part numbers and package types
-
Required quantities
-
Current stock availability
-
Minimum order quantities
-
Estimated lead times
-
Obsolete or difficult-to-source parts
-
Possible alternative components
If any information is missing or unclear, we will contact you before completing the quotation.
How We Handle Alternative Components
If an original component is unavailable or has a long lead time, we may recommend an alternative part for your review.
The proposed alternative will not be used without your confirmation. Customers should check the electrical specifications, footprint, pin configuration and software compatibility before approval.
Available Sourcing Options
You can choose the sourcing method that best fits your project:
Full Turnkey Sourcing
We purchase all components and arrange PCB manufacturing, SMT assembly and testing.
Customer-Supplied Components
You supply the components, and we handle PCB manufacturing and assembly.
Mixed Sourcing
We purchase part of the BOM while you supply selected ICs, programmed components or other controlled materials.
Submit Your BOM for Quotation
Prepare your BOM and upload it through our component sourcing page. Please include the required quantity and any special purchasing or assembly requirements in the notes section.
Our team will review the files and contact you if any technical details need to be confirmed.
